The Southern Conference and Ingles announced today the lineup of activities for the second annual Ingles SoCon Fan Experience, which will take place Friday, March 6, through Sunday, March 9, inside the Harrah’s Cherokee Center Asheville during the Ingles SoCon Basketball Championships presented by General Shale.
The event will take place inside the Jan Davis Lobby and the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium of the Harrah’s Cherokee Center Asheville. Admission to the event is free with the purchase of a SoCon Basketball Championships ticket. Fans can access the event beginning one hour prior to the start of each session beginning with the first men’s session on Friday, March 6 (Men’s Basketball Session I).
The Ingles SoCon Fan Experience will include an array of activities during its four-day run, including basketball shooting games, face painting, a TapSnap booth, an Ingles SoCon Mascot Challenge voting area and a mascot selfie area, Play Station games, and an array of other games and activities.
Voting for the Ingles SoCon Mascot Challenge continues through the men’s semifinals on Sunday, March 8, in the Fan Experience area. Voting can also take place online at www.ingles-markets.com/mascotchallenge/
The Ingles SoCon Fan Experience area is also the destination for fans to receive free fan items such as school rally cards and pom poms.
Highlighting the event will be a live concert by Joe Lasher in the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium prior to the Men’s Basketball Semifinals on Sunday, March 8. The concert is free to ticket holders for the men’s semifinals.
Joe Lasher is a rising country star whose dynamic performances have been captivating his home state of North Carolina for years. His songs, style and performances appeal to a broad spectrum of music lovers. He has become one of the hottest performers in the Southeast, having performed with the likes of Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts and Montgomery Gentry, and touring with Colt Ford and Luke Bryan.
The Ingles SoCon Fan Experience will also benefit Eblen Charities and its Hoops Against Hunger program. Hoops Against Hunger helps to provide snacks and meals to school-age children without enough food at home. Fans are encouraged to make cash donations or bring ready-to-eat or easy-to-serve food items.
