ABOUT US

May 4th, 2011 – Carolinasportsnut.com ASHEVILLE, NC was born.

CSN, Carolinasportsnut.com a idea put into motion in 2011. And in May of 2011 it was born. There has been a few adjusts and upgrades along the way. In spring of 2017 longtime friend and fellow broadcaster Dr. Terry Shinn suggested we do the Madison Lady Patriots post season softball playoffs in spring of 2017 and we did just that.

That was the beginning of LIVE play by play football – basketball – baseball and softball we kicked off in the fall of 2017 into 2018. That year we featured the North Buncombe Blackhawks. 2018-19 to now CSN moved a Game of the Week format in football. Basketball times two in the winter and the same in the spring with baseball and in softball too.

Carolinasportsnut.com has done a lot of games and met a lot of great people. Naming some, Tim Lolley he is just a pro. Great voice, Tim is the PA Announcer for WCU WBB, North Henderson Football through Baseball and is the PA Announcer for the Class A AshevilleTourists Baseball team. Thanks Tim for the friendship and sharing your voice talents with all of us.

Now, in the Carolinasportsnut.com on air stable. Terry Shinn, long time sports broadcaster, not to mention a gifted Radio Chief Engineer. Gene Blankenship, Keith Cable, and Caleb Peek. Caleb is now in Harrisburg, Va doing what he does best being on the air. He is the AM news anchor – as well as play by play on NEWSTALK 550 and 92.1 WSVA. At times Caleb Peek does some play by play here on CSN.

Others that play a big part in what we do. Matt Henson, sub on air talent Matt has shot photos & video for us at CSN Network. Longtime friends Marty Perry UT SEC guy and Craig Mims do some sports reporting and football – basketball related stuff. Also credit goes to my son Zach Alexander, he designed our current logo and has done updates etc throughout at CSN. Zach is a 2019 graduate of Western Carolina University with a major in graphic arts design. Thanks Zach for what you did for us at Carolinasportsnut.com. I, Chris Kelly have provided on air play by play, helped produce the broadcasts. Set up our broadcast equipment and enjoy the moments as CSN provided LIVE local sports and play by play.

Wanted to also mention for several years before Carolinasportsnut.com and our CSN App as well as during this 13 plus year journey. It’s our longtime relationship with The Southern Conference. We appreciate all they have done for us. And the games we have covered. Our favorite is the S0 C0N Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tourney which has been and is still in Asheville NC. Thank you so much Geoff Cabe and everyone at the Southern Conference. Hoping you enjoy what we have done and the sports projects ahead. This is Carolinasportsnut. Com – CSN Sports App – WPVM FM 103.7 Asheville all make up the CSN Network, Your HOME for SPORTS and play by play in the Mountains and the Carolinas.
